20 November 2014 marked the Grand Opening of the acclaimed yearly pop-up exhibition “Le Cabinet de Curiosités of Thomas Erber”, which celebrates its 5th edition anniversary at SIWILAI Concept Store and Central Embassy Retail Landmark in Bangkok, Thailand. For this occasion, JEANRICHARD produced and now officially revealed its “Terrascope Limited Edition for Le Cabinet de Curiosités of Thomas Erber” timepiece. The eight unique watches are now available at SIWILAI Concept Store in Bangkok.
The launch of the renowned Le Cabinet de Curiosités of Thomas Erber (CDC) attracted a large number of local and international influencers, tastemakers, fashionistas and artists, as well as the distinguished guests from the fields of design, art, fashion, photography, watch-making, jewelry and many more. All 70 creative invitees have presented a special and limited edition piece that is on sale now at the exhibition, which lasts until 21 December 2014 and is hosted by SIWILAI Concept Store and Central Embassy Retail Landmark.
JEANRICHARD participates in this 5th edition of the prestigious exhibition with a timepiece that fascinated watch-aficionados and many of the illustrious guests with its distinguished and eye-catching details, such as a blue eloxed aluminum middle-case, a midnight blue “Rubbergator” strap and a black crown and case back that are made of lightweight titanium.
With the “Terrascope Limited Edition for Le Cabinet de Curiosités of Thomas Erber”, which is limited to eight pieces only, JEANRICHARD has created an exceptional watch, that has an artistic yet contemporary approach and fits perfectly into the concept of the CDC.
The collaboration between JEANRICHARD and the CDC is based on the common values and Philosophy of Life to accomplish extraordinary things and push the boundaries day in and day out: “We share a mutual affinity for extraordinary design pieces that should have a platform to reach the people who value every moment in life and appreciate the small details that make product unique“, says Bruno Grande, Managing Director of JEANRICHARD.
ABOUT THE TERRASCOPE LIMITED EDITION FOR LE CABINET DE CURIOSITES
The frame of the automatic timepiece consists of a blue eloxed aluminium middle- case, bezel and laterals inserts, which provide the solid foundation of this limited edition. It is held in a polished and vertically satin-finished aluminium case. The black crown as well as the case back are made of lightweight titanium. The timepiece features a special “CDC-SIWILAI” engraving with the symbols of the concept store as well as of the CDC on the back. The blue dial is embellished with an artistic three- dimensional camouflage print that complements the eclectic blue of the whole watch. The hands come in blue steel with red luminescent material, while the JEANRICHARD logo and “Terrascope” lettering are held in classic white. At the heart of this eight piece limited edition – which pays tribute to the Asian culture – beats a Swiss mechanical self-winding movement.
