Hublot hosts a Fashion Show and Gala Dinner in aid of charitable causes during Paris Saint-Germain’s visit to Hong Kong

Following the announcement in September that Hublot will become the Paris Saint-Germain Official Timekeeper and Official Watch, the luxury Swiss watchmaker took the opportunity of the legendary football team visiting Hong Kong to organize a fashion show at Sky 100 followed by a charity gala dinner in the Ritz-Carlton this evening.

Together with Paris Saint-Germain, Hublot put on a lustrous fashion show at Sky 100, the prestigious landmark in West Kowloon overlooking Victoria Harbour, where celebrated players Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gregory Van Der Wiel, Thiago Motta, Lucas Mauro and Javier Pastore walked down the runway to interpret sports and style that Hublot Watch Collections symbolise. The show culminated with the players joining hands with children of local socialites, Ray Lui, Christine Au Yeung, Candy Lo, Clarie Yiu, Carrie Chiu. G.H.MUMM was the official champagne of the evening.

The fervour extended to the charity gala dinner in the Ballroom of Ritz-Carlton Hotel, where a charity auction took place to raise funds with Paris Saint-Germain exclusive items such as new Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lucas jerseys, Salvatore Sirigu gloves, Javier Pastore shoes, each bearing autographs of the players; a bottle of G.H.MUMM signed by all the players, and last but not least – a “King Power” Paris Saint-Germain club watch generously donated by Hublot combo with a Paris Saint-Germain Jersey and a Paris Saint-Germain football signed by all players. All revenues will be donated to Kitchee Foundation Limited for the development of Jockey Club Kitchee Centre – a social initiative organised by Kitchee, providing free-of-charge elite football training to boys aged between 6 to 12, and provide training facilities to various Kitchee youth training program. With the completion of Jockey Club Kitchee Centre, Kitchee will be able to fulfil the needs of more students and provide higher-quality youth training programs, leading to a better future for Hong Kong football’s future generations.

“Hong Kong is unique in many ways but this fashion show in front of such a picturesque view of the city was a one-of-a-kind experience.” Laurent Blanc, Paris Saint-Germain coach, said after the show. “We are happy to be here to join Hublot to raise funds for a charity cause that supports football and sports development in Hong Kong.”

The bond between the sports-loving watchmaker and Paris Saint-Germain started in September 2013. In February this year, Hublot – the first luxury brand to support football since 2006 - announced its signature collection ‘King Power’ the official club watch and timekeeper of Paris Saint-Germain, following Hublot’s close collaboration with FIFA, as Official Timekeeper and the Official Watch of the FIFA World Cup™, and other signature clubs such as Germany’s Bayern Munich, Italy’s Juventus and Ajax in the Netherlands.

This unique collaboration symbolises the Swiss brand’s strategic presence within the Paris club's grounds at Parc des Princes and its influential status in the world of professional football.

“Hublot values every collaboration with like-minded elites, so this unique partnership with Paris Saint-Germain, Ligue 1 Champion for the past two seasons, is a huge pride to us.” said Mr. Loic Biver, Brand Director of Hublot Greater China. “The fashion show starring these football celebrities was the perfect way to interpret the charisma of Hublot wristwatches.”

“Most important of all, this campaign successfully raised funds for the construction of Jockey Club Kitchee Centre , which are in line with the spirit of Hublot Loves Football.”

After the charity fete, Paris Saint-Germain will play a friendly match with local football team Kitchee on 29th July 2014.
