Opus 7 with Andreas Strehler

Opus 7 with Andreas Strehler

It all began in a family garage in Winterthur where Andreas’ father had a hobby: repairing old clocks.  Over the years, Andreas developed a love for Art Nouveau and Art Deco.  Andreas studied watchmaking in Winterthur and started his career restoring antique watches.  He was then employed as a prototype-maker for Renaud & Papi.  In 1995, he struck out on his own as an independent watchmaker and produced numerous movements for leading name brands.  In 2000, he created Zwei, and managed to devise a watch that indicated hours, minutes, the date, and month with just two hands ... on a dial that is disconcertingly simple.  In 2005, his company was born, Uhrteil AG.  A team of watchmakers, technicians and precision mechanics implement Andreas Strehler’s philosophy to the highest standards and guarantee outstanding quality.
