The DeWitt Polo Cup

The DeWitt Polo Cup

Geneva, June 9th, 2011 - For the second consecutive year, DeWitt is proud to be the “Official Timing Partner” of Europe’s leading club, the Guards Polo Club. Held on Wednesday, June 8th, the Harcourt Developments Queen's Cup semi-finals, sponsored by DeWitt, was the occasion for Mr Jérôme de Witt to welcome some 40 VIP guests in the Royal Box for a presentation of exclusive timepieces. The VIP’s enjoyed a thrilling match between “Enigma” and “1870”, finally won in overtime by “Enigma”. Afternoon tea and delicious scones completed this very enjoyable and typically British event.

In 2010, for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Queen’s Cup, Mr de Witt had the great honour to present to H.M The Queen Elizabeth II with a commemorative DeWitt watch, the Dame de Pressy (please see link below). This year, another customized special piece in limited edition has been created for the Guards Polo Club. This dazzling timepiece, an Academia Chronostream in rose gold and tantalum, displays the miniature logo of the Guards Polo Club, meticulously hand-reproduced on its dial. The inspiration of this timepiece is to be found in the sporting world and is designed for a young, dynamic and “sporty-chic” clientele.

The first piece of this special serie will be presented by Mr de Witt to the most valuable player of the Queen's Cup final to be held this coming Sunday.
