Baselworld 2015: DS Stella Classy and bright

The new CERTINA DS Stella is an exciting blend of the finest in contemporary timepiece design and technology. Inside, absolute precision. Outside, exquisite and timeless good looks to captivate the eye, with gorgeous contrasts of mother-of pearl, delicately matched dial textures, and superb PVD yellow detailing on both the bezel and bracelet.

The latest edition of the CERTINA DS Stella adds a dash of modernity to an exquisite timepiece which now also features a highly-accurate Precidrivemovement at its core. A deliberately open and bright dial design unites silver-coloured surfaces and a richly feminine band of mother-of-pearl around a central sunray-textured area, for a stylish and truly original touch. Carefully placed upon the mother-of-pearl surface, evocative, classical PVD yellow Roman numerals and indices tell the time through a sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating on both faces. An angled outer rim adds visual depth to the design and carries twelve delicate Top Wesselton diamonds to mark the hours. The graceful, gently rounded PVD yellow HM hands are treated with Superluminova, which is also added to a small eye on the central second hand. An oversized date window is placed at 3 o’clock.

The bicolour polished 316L stainless-steel case wears a narrow bezel in the same PVD yellow used on other elements of the DS Stella, next to a case back decorated with the historical CERTINA turtle logo. The timepiece is water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m) and is of course equipped with the well-known CERTINA DS Concept. It sports a five-row bicolour PVD yellow and polished stainless-steel bracelet with a twin-push-button butterfly buckle, in perfect harmony with the case. A tremendously feminine timepiece with a look that is simply irresistible.
