125 Exciting and Eventful Years

In 2013, CERTINA is celebrating its 125th anniversary. Since it was founded in 1888, the values reliability, innovation and precision have prevailed for the sport watch brand. The aim has always been to offer innovative, high-quality watches at a fair price. This year, CERTINA is marking this important milestone and is looking back on its long tradition with pride. As one of the few companies within the Swiss watch industry to have produced watches throughout its entire history – spanning 125 years – CERTINA continued production even during both world wars and the "watch crisis" of the 1980s. Thanks to the launch of the DS-1 with the unique "Double Security" concept in 1960 and the resulting expeditions, as well as its long-standing association with motor sport, CERTINA has been the Swiss sport watch brand since 1995.

CERTINA is using its anniversary year as an opportunity to relaunch its entire corporate identity. Moreover, innovative movements and new products will be presented with the further developed design. The anniversary will be properly celebrated across the world with special models, limited-edition special series and various promotions, events and activities. Throughout the company's history, there have been numerous exciting moments and significant events.
