Recently Breguet and the Tourbillon boutique in Lausanne gave the opportunity to some haute horlogerie enthusiasts to discover what goes on behind the scenes of the well-known Manufacture with blue hands. Received in a revisited decor with the brand’s new boutiques’ colors, invites attended a rare presentation of the technical and R&D departments of Breguet; a highlight on the latest innovations which allowed guests to better understand the ins and outs of the various research conducted by the House in its quest for perfection.

In 1801, Abraham-Louis Breguet revolutionized time measurement with the invention of the tourbillon. More than 200 years later, the Manufacture follows in its founder footsteps and reforms the watchmaking world with its patent of November 7, 2010 for a magnetic pivot. Harnessing magnetism to the service of precision and reliability, this daring system acts like a pare-chute through magnetic forces. The result is a balance that is insensitive to gravity, more stable and resistant to shocks
