After winning the championship title in the ADAC GT Masters amateur class last year, Marc A. Hayek (CH) intends to defend his title this season. “I am looking forward to the new season and I will share a car with Peter Kox (NDL) again. My goal is to win the title in the amateur class again. Hans Reiter’s team is great and the Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ is a strong car”.

Hayek thoroughly test-drove the racing car, provided by the German motorsports team Reiter Engineering, at the Paul Ricard HTTT (High Tech Test Track) for two days last week. Like last year, he will share the cockpit of the Italian dream sports car with the experienced pilot Peter Kox from the Netherlands.

Peter Kox is confident. “Marc showed an impressive performance last year, and now he is familiar with almost all of the tracks. He is very ambitious and it goes without saying that he wants to win the title again. I hope to support him in this effort”.

Team principal Hans Reiter is convinced as well. “During the tests Marc was able to prove again that he is a very good and fast driver. He feels comfortable with the Gallardo and you just see that he has fun driving and competing”.

The first race will take place in the Motorsportarena in Oschersleben (DEU) from March 31st to April 1st, 2012. All races will be broadcast live on Saturdays and Sundays from 11.45 a.m. on German TV station Kabel 1.
