The black and white emotional pictures photographed by Peter Lindbergh have magnified the Baume & Mercier booth and the watches displayed in the showcases, have contributed to make visitors feel the celebration dimension which is part of the brand. 

Eyes were also drawn to the historical Baume & Mercier wall featuring outstanding pieces. All these iconic watches which are part of the large brand museum collection have travelled for the very first time to Asia, for an exclusive exhibition during Watches & Wonders. A special focus was proposed to discover some of the most stunning emblematic watches that have marked time and Baume & Mercier history. 

WOMEN IN THE SPOTLIGHT

It was eagerly awaited, Baume & Mercier raised for this Watches & Wonders edition, the veil on its new ladies’ collection that certainly lived up to all its “Promesse”. The Swiss Maison has excelled in the art of winning feminine hearts for over 100 years and Promesse draws its inspiration from this heritage while translating it in a contemporary way. Decidedly different due to its unconventional shape, Promesse features a unique look with an oval bezel nestled inside a soft, round case.  This 14-piece collection includes both 30mm and 34mm sizes in both steel and two-tone 18K red gold.  Available with or without diamonds, the collection also includes both quartz and automatic models on a bracelet or leather strap for every woman's taste.

To pay tribute to Asian women and celebrate this launch, Baume & Mercier has designed a prestigious and exclusive charming model of Promesse with a red lacquer bezel. This 88-pieces limited edition magnifies the color. The red lacquer is framed by an ellipse composed of 61 diamonds. It gives a striking contrast, and the intense depth of red lacquer together with the sparkle of diamonds endows this jewelry creation with undeniable magic.

A NAME FULL OF PROMESSE

Promesse, a "promise" in French, is meant to inspire women to hold one and celebrate a special moment close to their heart with this beautiful timepiece. This name is carrying strong emotional connotations and is an encouragement to make a vow, to mark a loving pledge, an anniversary, a birth or any other unforgettable moment of joy. Classic, accessible, brimming with intense appeal and a wealth of subtle details, its resolutely stylish design will light up the days and nights of elegant women the world over. A SPECIAL PROMESSE WALL TO SEAL EACH PROMISE

Like the promises that are now sealed in public spaces around the world with small padlocks, Baume & Mercier provided all guests with a padlock and invite them to place it accompanied by their promises on the Promesse wall. This activation met an incredible success with more than 600 promises made by the visitors.

Then thanks to the padlocks keys which were slipped in a “box”, a lucky draw designated a winner who has received a Baume & Mercier Promesse watch.

SHARED PROMISES FROM A CELEBRITY COUPLE TO CELEBRATE PROMESSE

As for Baume & Mercier, time is about emotion and special moments in life, a well-known "iconic couple" from Hong Kong, Ms. Ada Choi and Mr. Max Zhang, known for their strong family values have been invited to celebrate the Promesse unveil. 

Ada received the Promesse Red Chinese lacquer, with a love message from her husband engraved on the back of the watch: "In Our Time ". The celebrity couple wrote also their love promise on a padlock and sealed it as all the guests, on the Promesse Wall.

SECOND ANNIVERSARY OF THE SUCCESSFUL CLIFTON

The strength of the Swiss Maison is that which right from the outset, it was able to forge a vision of watchmaking featuring both masculine and feminine interpretations of elegance. 

Baume & Mercier continues to create emotions through three new models specially unveiled at Watches & Wonders and which complement the collection by accentuating its fine watchmaking tradition.

The Clifton 8-Day Power Reserve with its refined horological finishes and its impressive performances, introduces a Manufacture mechanical hand-wound movement with an 8-day power reserve. 

Beyond this 185-pieces limited watch, two new 39mm sizes-18K red gold models with Swiss Made mechanical self-winding calibers have been unveiled and set also the tone of sophisticated elegance.
