A new era of unbiased, inclusive, and open-access watch news has begun. Watchicity, announced last week, aggregates watch news as it happens from the leading media outlets offering a seamless daily feed for watch fans.

Entusiasts, Enthused

For watch enthusiasts hungry for news, Watchicity (a portmanteau of “watch” and “synchronicity”) is just what the proverbial doctor ordered.

Watch collector Sneh Diwan said: "[Watchicity] is a worthwhile platform for a watch enthusiast looking for an array of perspectives."

Amr Sindi - @thehorophile, an independent watchmaking enthusiast said: “It’s great having a single, seamless and ad-free source for all the latest watch content from around the world.”

Watch Media? Ready and Willing

The watch media has also accepted and adopted the Watchicity Way, recognizing the vital role this type of product plays. “We have been grateful to Hodinkee for their work at Watchville, and now are happy to be with Watchicity,” wrote Deployant’s co-founder and Editorial Director Peter Chong (whose ongoing content is now feeding into Watchicity) . “We are very happy to be a part of this new chapter in the history of watch journalism.”

Watchicity is currently aggregating news and content from about 20 respected media outlets, and more are signing on every day.

The Industry Makes the Move

The watch industry, as well, is excited by the new service. Watchville was utilized especially by public relations executives to get a pulse on the flow of watch news, and many are planning to turn to Watchicity for the same purpose.

Fernanda Zapata Vakil, founder of the Gigantem media agency that represents watch companies like Zenith, H. Moser & Cie and Parmigiani Fleurier said: “I’m thrilled to see the Watchonista team taking the lead in facilitating content distribution that is so important in the journey of discovery of watch collectors worldwide.”
