Industry News: Jean-Claude Biver Stepping Down From His Role At LVMH

According to Reuters, due to serious health issues, the legendary executive is transitioning to a non-executive President role.

Breaking News this morning out of Zurich, President of LVMH watchmaking and CEO of TAG Heuer Jean-Claude Biver is leaving his operational role at LVMH. Via phone, Biver said

“I am giving up my operational responsibilities, but I’m staying as non-executive president of LVMH’s watch unit and its three watch brands, TAG Heuer, Zenith and Hublot.”
 


According to Reuters, the 69-year-old Biver has been facing serious health issues in the past few months. Biver explained, “I’ll no longer be cutting the onions and crying in the kitchen early in the morning, I’ll just come later to see if they are ready,” Biver did mention that he was doing better, but had not yet fully recovered from the issues.
