“Tested for you”: The Longines Heritage 1935
Inspired by a model that was initially developed for the Czechoslovakian air force, The Longines Heritage 1935 embodies a timeless functionality.
Despite its traditional aesthetic codes, the modernity observed in this watch is surprising. Due to the fact that it was originally a professional pilot watch and because it features large luminescent Arabic numerals, it is flawlessly readable. Its cushion-shaped case blends perfectly on the wrist whilst offering an extremely wide design with an interplay of beveled and polished surfaces.
This makes the fluted bezel stand out from the rest of the watch and adds a particular flavor to the sporty, yet elegant, watch. Its skeletonized hands, small seconds at 6 o’clock and even oversize crown confer this timepiece a historical perspective without being a neo-vintage reinterpretation.
I find the Longines Heritage 1935 extremely efficient for its price (CHF 1,900).
