Sotheby’s New York Auction : A. Lange & Söhne - Richard Lange Tourbillon Platinum Pour le Merite
This beautiful limited edition of the A. Lange & Söhne Richard Lange Tourbillon « Pour le Mérite » has been sold last June by Sotheby’s in New York.
For the first time, this A. Lange & Söhne reference was offered at auction in platinum. The complexity of the movement, the pure lines of the case and its massive aspect made the lot 130 a very attractive timepiece for any “Lange” collector.
The movement not only combines a one-minute Tourbillon with a fusee and chain system but also a stop seconds function. That enables to accurately set the time with a precision to the second. When the crown is pulled on set position, the tourbillon (and the seconds) stops and allows you to set the time with a maximum accuracy.
