GTE2013

A Real Success For Geneva Time Exhibition 2013

After excellent results at the 2013 Geneva Time Exhibition, it has been announced today that the Fair will again be held at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in central Geneva in 2014. Buoyed by the enthusiastic support of independent watchmakers, GTE is now firmly established as a key event in the international watch calendar.

This year’s Fair was acknowledged as a great success by all the 34 participating brands, with nearly 6000 visitors – watch professionals, international media and collectors – exploring the Fair’s 600m² venue during its five-day duration.

‘We had every confidence in GTE’s ability to provide an effective platform for business, promotion and making new contacts, but what happened exceeded our wildest dreams!’ declared Guillaume Tetu, CEO of Neuchâtel brand Hautlence. ‘There was an unprecedented response from both retailers and the press, and we clinched a string of deals, as well as opening new markets in Europe and in several countries from the Middle and Far East.’

The organizers were also delighted by the warm, friendly atmosphere at this year’s Fair and by the very positive reaction to the new venue, chosen with the needs of the exhibiting brands in mind.

The Fair witnessed an upsurge in optimism among retailers, and enthralled journalists keen to catch up on the latest timepiece innovations.

The over-riding goal of the Geneva Time Exhibition remains, more than ever, to provide a showcase for independent watchmaking brands and to create positive synergies. This continues to prove a winning formula for all concerned!
