PEQUIGNET MANUFACTURE: HAUTE HORLOGERIE FRANCAISE

PEQUIGNET MANUFACTURE: HAUTE HORLOGERIE FRANCAISE

The Lys Royal from Pequignet Manufacture symbolises a renaissance in French Haute Horlogerie. The home of luxury watchmaking until 1685, France has kept its connection alive through its famed schools and its mechanical watch experts.

Based in the Jura, the heart of French watchmaking, Pequignet Manufacture is a French brand, a watchmaker, a manufacture, independent and highly skilled, prizing beauty and high technology.

The Calibre Royal was created in the Haute Horlogerie laboratories at the Pequignet Manufacture. During 2011, a large number of international awards have stood testament to this true calibre, which is both innovative and historic:

It offers an 88-hour power reserve, with no stress on the movement. A world first, it integrates all the haute horlogerie complications on a single and unique main plate, thereby lending the Calibre Royal collections its compact dimensions, reliability, elegance and a matchless price for a work of haute horlogerie with multiple complications. The calibre boasts 318 components, 316 of which are "Pequignet" originals; this required 4 years of research and development, 279 technical drawings, more than 20,000 dimensions and some 150 tools or matrices for production. Calibre Royal watches are symmetrical, in the French style, using large, highly visible complications which are combined to form a perfectly harmonious unit. The Calibre Royal also benefits from 9 international patents for the main parts of the mechanism.

The Calibre Royal has been honoured by the Japanese press, which gave it the nickname "Jardin à la française" in a flattering comparison to a formal garden.

The Rue Royale, Paris Royal and Royal Triomphe collections have finally brought luxury back to French Haute Horlogerie. Fine watch enthusiasts are able to appreciate the unique advantages of the Calibre Royal.

Rue Royale model, automatic calibre with multiple integrated complications, just 5.88 mm in height with Small Second at 4 o'clock, 88-hour Power Reserve indicator, with 72 hour isochronism, Large accurate Moon Phase and - a world first - large dual Date and Day window, with 3 instantaneous jump discs, quick correction using the crown without corrector and with no prohibited zone.
