The Glow Up: A First Look At The NORQAIN Adventure NEVEREST Night Sight

It’s been a great year for upstart watchmakers NORQAIN, but the brand still has one last surprise for fans in 2021.

The Adventure NEVEREST Night Sight DLC is a 40mm watch created for wearers who love the nightlife. The most prominent feature of this bold timepiece is a dial coated in X1 Super-LumiNova that glows green in the dark.

Light Up My Life

During the daylight hours, the black hand-applied and satin-brushed numbers at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock appear as if to pop out from the sand-colored background. Plus, the elegant, facetted light grey hands are filled with white X1 Super-LumiNova markers for a seamless design and flawless legibility.

But once you turn out the lights, the green glow of the X1 lume presents next-level radiance (and we know that there are enthusiasts out there that live for lume). Grade X1 Super-LumiNova represents the cutting edge of glow with up to a 60-percent increase in visibility after two hours compared to the standard grade.

Dark Night

The nighttime aesthetics are also represented in the design of the case. The stainless steel housing showcases a mix of polished and satin finishes. Moreover, in addition to the case, the bi-directional bezel, screwed-down crown, and lugs are treated with a midnight black DLC coating.

Even the NORQAIN plate on the left side of the case – engraved with “NEVEREST” – has this treatment. The angular ruggedness of the architecture of this Adventure NEVEREST Night Sight DLC is further accentuated by a rectangular crown protector that makes it extra robust.

This rakish appearance (we’re talking, like, Cary Grant cat burglar chic) is also complemented by the strap choices of either sturdy black rubber or khaki flex fabric with a black vertical stripe.
