Cruising into Luxury: Meet the Beautiful Timepieces and Fine Jewelry of Charriol

During our hectic week at Watches and Wonders 2024, the Watchonista team got divided between meetings and brands. Fortunately, we still had the chance to get to know the brand Charriol a little better.

The Charriol booth at Watches and Wonders 2024 was filled with color and adorned details that caught the eye and drew visitors to the luxury watch and fine jewelry brand’s counter. And I have to say, it was a great experience to view something fun and different amid the hectic atmosphere of Watches and Wonders, which can sometimes leave people struggling to cope with information overload.

Founded in 1983 by Philippe Charriol, Charriol is a beacon of Swiss craftsmanship, pushing the boundaries of design while staying true to its heritage. However, it’s Coralie Charriol, the brand’s current CEO and creative force, who has led Charriol into a new era of horological excellence.

So, let me tell you more about Charriol, a brand that lives at the intersection of fashion, timepieces, and luxury.

Cruise Control

Central to the Navigator collection are the Cruise models. Featuring a newly designed case adorned with the iconic Charriol moniker, the models of the Cruise line exude sophistication in every detail, from their classic and uncluttered dial to their Swiss-made calibres, including ETA and Sellita automatic movements.

One standout from the Cruise line is the “Calibre Skeleton” limited edition, a celebration of ingenuity and craftsmanship. With only 30 pieces available, this timepiece offers a rare glimpse into the intricate inner workings of a powerhouse automatic movement framed by a steel case adorned with dazzling diamonds.

Fine Jewelry Collections

Charriol also gave us a primer on some of its exquisite Fine Jewelry Collections jewelry, including the Mariner line within the St Tropez collection and the Epona line within the Cable Signature collection.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail and featuring 18k gold, diamonds, and precious stones, these pieces epitomize sophistication and luxury.

Inspired by Charriol’s iconic motifs, such as the anchor link style, each design, curated by CEO Coralie Charriol, blends tradition with modernity, offering timeless elegance for special occasions and everyday living.

Final Thoughts

While Charriol’s vibrant and bold designs may not align with my personal blend of minimalist and classic style, I genuinely admire the brand’s exceptional communication and branding.

The way Charriol fuses adventure with fashion and luxury creates an irresistible appeal for sophisticated and stylish women who lead a luxurious lifestyle and aren’t afraid to show it and who, thus, seek excitement in their accessories.
