Jean-Claude & Pierre Biver Interview x Artisans de Genève

A Revealing Conversation with Pierre & Jean-Claude Biver

Produced by the estimable Artisans de Geneve workshop, a recent video interview with the Bivers shines a light on the father-son team’s shared passion, sense of multi-generational responsibility, and their dedication to both lifelong learning and the Biver watch brand.

First off, Artisans de Geneve is a skilled atelier that neither produces nor sells watches. The workshop is dedicated to conducting masterful customization and modifications to already owned timepieces commissioned by the top echelon of global watch collectors (ask racer JP Montoya, director Spike Lee, or musician Lenny Kravitz, to name a few).

As such, the organization is a wonderfully neutral editorial platform for the revelations of this frank, point-of-origin discussion between the Biver watch brand’s principals: Father and Co-founder Jean-Claude Biver and his son and Co-founder Pierre Biver.

The video’s producers cleverly sat the pair back-to-back to conduct the interview, most likely to minimize familial shorthand; both spoke more freely than ever before about the core principles and plans for the Biver watch brand, which launched in 2023.

However, while father and son are seated back-to-back, they clearly see eye-to-eye on the significance, direction, and ongoing intent of the work the brand produces and will continue to produce. Enjoy!
