Vacheron Constantin's Exclusive Temporary Home in Suite 1755

An Inside Look at Vacheron Constantin's Exclusive Temporary Home in Suite 1755 at the Hotel La Réserve in Zürich

Since Vacheron Constantin is completely renovating its Zürich boutique over the next three months, the brand has taken up residence at the Hotel La Réserve Eden au Lac. Fortunately, Watchonista recently attended a private event showcasing the brand’s temporary home away from home.

Let me take you on a timeless journey through the past, present, and future of horology at Vacheron Constantin’s temporary, by-appointment boutique in Suite 1755 at the enchanting Hotel La Réserve Eden au Lac in Zürich.

Brace yourselves for an extraordinary experience.

An Exclusive Lounge

Picture this: Suite 1755 (a nod to the year Vacheron Constantin was founded) at the La Réserve is a haven merging the classic Swiss Alps spirit with a contemporary twist and features refined wood furnishings, stone displays, and unbleached walls adorned with mosaic decorations reminiscent of the iconic Maltese cross – the symbol of Vacheron Constantin.

As if the suite’s ambiance wasn’t enough, a cozy yet elegant fireplace flickers beside the large picture windows that look out at the majestic mountains and serene lake. And there, in the heart of it all, lies the VIP lounge, an oasis of soft comfort where you can dive into the maison’s haute horlogerie collections.

Enter Michael Raich, the maestro behind the Vacheron Constantin’s Zürich boutique. He graciously unveiled to us a treasure trove of timepieces, each a masterpiece in its own right. Raich also gave us a look at some of the boutique’s vintage wonders from the Les Collectionneurs collection that date back between 1947 and 1966, each piece a living testament to a bygone era. It’s not just a watch; it’s a little “time of history” strapped to your wrist.

As Watchonista’s Project and Community Manager, I’ve seen my fair share of wonders, but Vacheron Constantin’s temporary Zürich boutique in Suite 1755? It felt like a little comfortable cocoon in the Alps, a home away from home. So, if you have a heartbeat for history, a passion for precision, and an eye for the extraordinary, then Suite 1755 might just be where you belong.
