Bvlgari’s LVCEA collection: time to reveal the woman

Creating a watch requires a wise dosage of strong codes, inspiration, and images from which consumers are able to envision their fantasies. In the case of the Lvcea, Bvlgari captured Rome’s particular power of luminosity in a timepiece, which pays a warm tribute to the sundial that Romans used in the past.

Bvlgari Lucea

Lvcea is thus a solar – and by extension a watchmaking – allegory. As for any masterpiece, it was crafted using unique alchemy and when we look at it, we can make varying allusions to the best of the Italian maison, famous for its wonderful jewels. The crown of the Lvcea is a diamond-encrusted pink cabochon. Those who know how to observe from distance will see the watch’s timelessness revealed and thus understand a quite delicate insinuation. Indeed, the cabochon resembles a precious stone on a ring; the ring being the watch’s bezel. The next allusion to the firm’s history is the watch’s strap.

Inspired by the Serpenti collection, the strap works as a linking thread. However, its geometrical shapes crystallize all the dynamics of a jewel primarily meant to embellish its owner and incidentally keep them informed of the time. This delicate but powerful watch reveals the complex and fascinating nature of the contemporary woman looking for a watch that is a blend of that strength, sweetness, sensuality and grace that makes her so alluring.

The twelve pieces in the Lvcea collection are available in either 28 or 33 millimeters as well as in different materials and finishes. The outstanding timepiece is directed to all women. There is no doubt that every woman will find in this rich collection the piece that matches their multi-faceted personality.

28-mm Lvcea

This 28-mm steel watch driven by a quartz caliber customized for Bvlgari (B046) features a pink cabochon and diamond-incrusted winding crown. This greatly refreshing watch features a strap made of meticulously worked links, alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces to highlight the relief effect to a maximum. Sober and useful, its sunburst opaline dial displays hours and minutes as well as the date in an aperture at 3 o’clock.

The delicate watch is water-resistant to 30 meters (water spray) and also available with a mother-of-pearl dial. Another steel version with a steel and pink gold strap features a mother-of-pearl dial with diamond-incrusted indexes meant to highlight the fact that the timepiece is a jewel as well. Since luxury is also part of the creation game, the 28-mm Lvcea features a steel and pink gold case (4.56 g of gold) and strap. The mother-of-pearl dial displays diamond-incrusted indexes.

33-mm Lvcea

Slightly larger than the previous one in order to be in sync with current trends, the 33-mm Lvcea offers women the chance to wear a jewel on their wrist that speaks volumes about their character while skilfully outlining their curves, charm and sensuality. An everyday contemporary jewel, this wonderful watch is the smallest version of all, aimed to meet the requirements of the majority. It has a sober look and comes completely in steel. Apart from its graphic and jewel appearance, it is also a pure timepiece, as it comprises a sunburst silver-toned dial. Its self-winding B77 caliber displays the hours and minutes and furthermore the seconds with a sweep seconds hand and finally the date in an aperture at 3’oclock.

Water-resistant to 30 meters, it is a multi-functional watch and will delight its owner, as it is a sculptural jewel that, with its Latin magic, reveals new aspects each day as well as the personality of the women who choose it. This Lvcea also features a mother-of-pearl and diamond-incrusted dial. Its strap and case are both in pink gold and steel, too. For this model, we can choose either a black guilloché dial with gold indexes or a mother-of-pearl and diamond-incrusted dial. There is even a completely pink gold model, as the piece’s size is perfect for this particular material. The gold-like shiny piece features a black guilloché dial and for its ultimate version, the gold of the case (30.68 g) is set with 43 brilliant-cut diamonds (1,204 carats). The Lvcea version with the black dial that displays roman numerals is accompanied by a gold strap closed by a deployment buckle. As for the more sublime version, a black guilloché dial with diamond indexes has been complemented with a gold strap set with 117 diamonds (1, 989 carats).
