1975 Master Skeleton × Ficus Interfaith Pearl Buoy

A masterpiece within a masterpiece, this unique 1975 Master Skeleton was created for the Swiss Institute’s TimeForArt auction through a collaboration between Maurice Lacroix and New York artistic duo Ficus Interfaith.

Its dial is an entirely handmade work of art, crafted using the artists’ signature terrazzo technique. Pearls are embedded in epoxy resin, sliced into ultra-thin plates and polished to reveal their iridescent centers. The translucent surface offers glimpses of the finely decorated ML234 skeleton calibre, visible in full through the sapphire caseback.

Housed in a 43 mm stainless-steel case, the watch features a cabochon-cut pearl crown and hand-lacquered Japanese leather strap inspired by shagreen, uniting artistic expression with horological craftsmanship.
