Panthère Jewellery Watch

Created by Cartier’s Maison des Métiers d’Art in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, this exceptional medallion-shaped jewellery watch celebrates rare craftsmanship. Inspired by the ancestral art of cameos, its creation required three specialised professions working in harmony: design, gem-setting, and lacquer.

The Panther emerges as a striking, expressive guardian of time. Its sculptural form is enhanced through an extraordinary use of gemstones, replacing metal with onyx for the nose and dial, tsavorite garnets for the eyes, and diamonds adorning the lugs and bezel. Finally, the lacquerer brings the Panther’s iconic spots to life, transforming Cartier’s vintage inspiration into a refined and contemporary masterpiece of artistry and watchmaking.
