Ancestra 百石 (Bǎishí)

For TimeForArt 2026, Atelier Wen presents Ancestra Bǎishí, a unique interpretation of its Ancestra model conceived as a celebration of the year’s close. At its heart, the disco ball becomes a symbol of gathering, resilience and the simple joy of looking back before turning towards what comes next.

Crafted by Atelier Olivier Vaucher, the intricate hardstone marquetry dial combines tiger’s eye, jasper, moonstone and bloodstone to recreate the illusion of a three-dimensional disco ball. As light moves across the natural stones, shifting reflections bring the composition vividly to life.

The pièce unique is powered by Atelier Wen calibre W11.20, produced by Pequignet on the EPM03 base, with bridges inspired by traditional Chinese representations of wind and finished with mirror-polished blue aventurine lacquer.
