In order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the master series launched in 1957, Omega is proposing 3 re-issues of the absolutely iconic Speedmaster, Seamaster 300 and Railmaster. Although the Speedmaster was unanimously heralded and praised by aficionados, I have a personal preference for the Seamaster 300.

Of the 3 re-issues of the 1957 models, it's the one with the most remarkable choice of materials and finishes for me. With its 'Naiad' symbol at 12 o'clock on the crown and indices reminiscent of superluminova-flecked tropical dials, as if ravaged by age and time, this watch appears to have stepped straight out of the past. But despite the clear reference to the original model, this supremely functional diver offers all the advantages of an Omega chronometer, with its co-axial escapement and amagnetic movement, all of which meets the new meta-standards now applied by Omega (Master Chronometer).
