What To Expect At Dubai Watch Week 2021
Taking place from November 24 to 28, 2021, the fifth edition of Dubai Watch Week has increased the number of participating brands, kept their historic collaboration with Rolex, and extended the program. How will these developments impact the fair?
The renowned, open-to-all, educative, and cultural platform of Dubai Watch Week returns to the horological scene this year. And under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the management of Dubai Watch Week has secured the participation of 45 leading watch brands – the highest number since the fair’s existence, including Rolex, Audemars Piguet, F.P.Journe, Chopard, Ulysse Nardin, and many others.
Dubai Watch Week Goals
The biennial event – which attracted over 9,000 visitors in 2019 – works to converge the watch world with affiliated industries and bridge communities. The main goal of the fair remains the expansion of the horological community, innovative concepts, and experiences appealing to a wider audience. And by taking away the pressure of sales, Dubai Watch Week offers a celebration of watchmaking and productive networking.
“Our ongoing partnerships intersect multiple industries. Along with leading watch brands, pre-eminent speakers, and guests from around the world – coupled with entertainment and home-grown & international food concepts – our objective is to create an educational, experiential, and networking event like no other. One that we, too, continue to learn from. Dubai Watch Week is an unprecedented and inclusive experience, influencing the evolution of the global watch industry in a city that prioritizes culture and innovation,” said Hind Seddiqi, Director General of Dubai Watch Week.
Constantly Evolving Program
Constantly evolving, this year, Dubai Watch Week will present an even richer program – introducing several immersive and interactive concepts with stakeholders across the industry. From a thought-provoking series of panel discussions to hands-on workshops led by expert artisans to the Brands Exhibition Hall, this year’s fair is slated to be one to remember.
Additionally, a new platform dedicated to gathering watch lovers from across the globe will also be launched this year. The so-called “Collector’s Lounge” will be a space for watch connoisseurs to discuss the latest watch releases and horology news while interacting with peers and industry leaders. The Collector’s Lounge will also showcase the limited editions designed by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons to commemorate the UAE’s 50th anniversary.
