The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie welcomes two new partner brands: H. Moser & Cie. and HYT
With the backing of H. Moser & Cie. and HYT, 28 watch brands are now assisting the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) in its mission of spreading and promoting Haute Horlogerie across the world.
Two essential players from the new watchmaking scene are joining the circle of Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie partner brands. By shaking up the codes of Haute Horlogerie and boldly reinventing them without ever sacrificing excellence, H. Moser & Cie. and HYT fall within the Foundation's definition of Haute Horlogerie. It was therefore a logical step to strengthen the ties between these two contemporary Haute Horlogerie figures and the FHH. "Through our members, the Foundation represents all aspects of Haute Horlogerie and the diversity of its players. For this reason, we are delighted to welcome H. Moser & Cie. and HYT to our Foundation," explained Fabienne Lupo, CEO of the Foundation. "Their support is important to us. And for these two Maisons, this partnership is an endorsement of quality and a mark of recognition of their know-how and skills."

H. Moser & Cie. – a manufacture of elegance and precision
"For a brand such as ours, which produces 1,200 watches per year, this partnership means that our work and creativity have been given their rightful recognition and that we are on the right track. It is something of a badge of honour," points out Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie. A rising star of new watchmaking, H. Moser & Cie. was created by Heinrich Moser in 1828 and taken over in 2012 by the independent family-owned group MELB Holding. Based in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, near Schaffhausen, today it employs 50 people and has eight calibres. H. Moser & Cie. manufactures components such as regulating organs and balance-springs. As for its designs, its timepieces are renowned for their elegance and classic refinement given a unique modern twist.

HYT – a revolution in fluids
Disruptive, nonconformist and creative – since 2012, HYT and its Hydro Mechanical Horologists have cultivated an absolutely groundbreaking approach to measuring time. Their niche: incorporating fluid technology into the very heart of a mechanical wristwatch. Although seemingly polar opposites, the Neuchâtel-based brand has nonetheless succeeded in combining these two worlds in timepieces featuring a contemporary design. Since the water clocks of ancient Egypt, who would have thought it possible to indicate time mechanically using fluids? The founders of HYT believed they could. The Hydro Mechanical Horologists did it. Boasting five collections, the watch brand currently produces some 400 pieces per year and employs around 40 people.
With these two new partnerships, the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie can now count on the active support of 28 contributing brands to conduct new projects in the areas of information, training, accreditation and event organisation. These activities have been developed since 2005 with a single aim in mind: to spread and promote Haute Horlogerie across the world.
The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie
Technical and precious Haute Horlogerie is an exceptional domain, which the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) has upheld since its creation in 2005. Initiated by three founders, Audemars Piguet, Girard-Perregaux and the Richemont group, the Foundation has continued to grow over the years. On the back of its involvement, it has now become established as a touchstone in Haute Horlogerie and intends to spread and promote its values across the world.
The 28 partner brands from the world of Haute Horlogerie finance the FHH and thus contribute to its actions around the world. The Foundation's work is administered by a dozen local task forces that conduct initiatives with partner brands, the main retailers, the press and watchmaking enthusiasts.
