Only Watch 2013 reaches a new record with 5’066’000 Euro being raised to support the research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

After traveling the world from Tokyo to Monaco with 6 dedicated exhibitions, the 33 unique timepieces of the 5th edition of Only Watch have been auctioned today, Saturday 28th of September, under the hammer of Julien Schaerer from Antiquorum.

The auction which took place in the “Salle Belle Époque” of the Hotel Hermitage in Monaco has exceeded all hopes of the Monegasque Association Against Muscular Dystrophy (AMM)  by raising €5’066’000 to support the research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

As expected lot n°25, a Patek Philippe ref. 5004 in titanium, was definitely the highlight of the auction reaching an incredible price of 2’950’000 Euro. Perhaps the new owner is one of the rare collectors who already owns the other 5 variants of the Patek Philippe 5004 and is today the only person having the complete collection with this unique piece.

Among the various watches auctioned, some pieces reach a significant price as the Laurent Ferrier auctioned at 130’000 Euro, the Richard Mille at 350’000 Euro final price,  the Breguet auctioned at 120’000 Euro, the Hublot auctioned at 100'000 and finally the Vacheron Constantin for 100’000 Euro.
