GRECO Genève, the iconic Hexagonal Nut-design watch

On November 27th 2014, in anticipation of Baselworld 2015, GRECO Genève unveils its collection Les Temps Modernes – the fruit of 23 years of watchmaking excellence. Just after Belles Montres fair in Paris, a celebration-party in Plan-Les-Ouates, commemorates the event.

It’s in the Lamborghini showroom in Geneva – just a step away from its own workshops – that GRECO Genève has chosen to welcome its public and friends, neighbours and connoisseurs.  The choice of venue is a perfect reflection of shared values: mechanical sports, precision, and performance at the very highest level. With mastery of materials and subtle decoration,GRECO Genève embodies these values through its conception and fabrication of Swiss watches. It’s in the very same building that this Swiss brand – young at heart, brimming with originality, following its own muse – has created its showroom. Here GRECO Genève’s collections may be seen in an atmosphere of subtle light-play, highlighting one of the brand’s unique features: a magic material (one of the most guarded on the planet) for which GRECO Genève has – and forever will have – exclusive rights in the world of watchmaking!

Paris-Geneva, world premiere of the Hexagonal Nut-design watch

The simple machine nut – an indispensable reference in industrial design – is lodged deep within the collective unconscious of the world. Today, this design element steps up from its functional origins to affirm a new mechanical identity: chronometric precision and excellence in Swiss watchmaking. With the unveiling of its Hexagonal Nut-design watch, GRECO Genève has been the unexpected surprise at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris at the Salon Belles Montres. In watchmaking, where aesthetic values go often hand-in-hand with their functional counterparts, some of the most legendary designs are the direct descendents of functionality. At the other end of the spectrum, GRECO Genève’s approach has been to metamorphose a quintessentially functional object into a luxury item: trendy, urban and totally contemporary. Today two editions of the Hexagonal Nut-design watch are being launched, heralds of the collection Les Temps Modernes: the LTM-18t and the LTM-04t.
