Special Cinco De Mayo Gallery Of Top Watches

Viva Mexico! Our Special Cinco De Mayo Gallery Of Top Watches For The LATAM Market

We relive back-to-back years of the SIAR fair in Mexico City to bring you the baddest, boldest, and bonito-est watches made for south of the border.

By Watchonista

The fifth day of the fifth month is upon us yet again. It’s time to toast our neighbor to the south and celebrate the nation’s history, culture, fantastic food, and its influence on the watch world. This Cinco de Mayo, Watchonista has created a gallery of special Mexican-themed timepieces, for your viewing pleasure.

For the past two years, Watchonista has traveled to Mexico City to cover Latin America’s biggest and boldest horological event, Salón Internacional Alta Relojería México, better known as SIAR. The watch fair is a smorgasbord of new releases, beautiful women, and regionally-focused timepieces across multiple floors of the city’s St. Regis hotel.

This photo gallery includes our favorite images from these trips, as well as some previously unpublished memories. Each piece, whether it’s from Chopard, Hublot, Zenith, HYT, L’Epée, or Kerbedanz, carries a distinctive Latin flair. You’ll notice the details of these pieces have all been dialed up to match the energy of the Mexican market, with elaborate case engravings, striking colors, and Mexican iconography all making appearances.

So kick back, enjoy the watches, and maybe even a Corona or two.
