Photo Gallery: Celebrating Watchonista: Volume 04’s Launch at Breitling's NYC Flagship Boutique
This week, New York City-area Watchonista and Breitling fans were among the first people to receive the latest print edition of our magazine, Watchonista: Volume 04, at an exclusive party scene that was as hot inside as it was outside.
Emceed by Breitling U.S. President Thierry Prissert and Watchonista Executive Editor Mike Espindle, the scene at the corner of Madison Avenue and 57th Street in New York City was strictly A-list as the first issues of the Watchonista: Volume 04 magazine were made available to the waiting public. Attendees broke the summer heat with signature cocktails and sophisticated hors d’oeuvres at the two-level Breitling boutique while a live DJ set the vibe from the upper level of the penthouse-style space.
In addition to being given the first issues of the magazine, which features the new Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 on the cover, attendees also received a copy of Premier Story, a new book detailing the history and heritage of the Breitling Premier timepiece that follows the watch all the way to the present day with coverage of the new Breitling Premier chronograph updated with a modern B01 movement.
The book’s author and Breitling’s official Brand Historian, Fred S. Mandelbaum, was on-hand for the event, and an intriguing Q&A with him moderated by Mike Espindle was a featured moment of the evening. And as a special treat, Mandelbaum (who, in addition to being an author, is a watch-collecting legend) also brought along several exquisite vintage Breitling pieces from his personal collection that wowed the crowd.
Finally, though the magazine’s distribution is expected to be completed by or around July 22 at Breitling boutiques and other independent retail distributors, stay tuned to Watchonista and keep checking our “Find the Magazine” tab as we roll out additional distribution points throughout the month so you can get your own copy of “The Watch Magazine You Can’t Buy.”
