By Watchonista

Starting this Friday, February 16th and continuing to Monday, February 19th, the FHH and Miami Design District will be hosting Watches & Wonders 2018. This unique showcase of 21 exhibiting brands will feature a full weekend of activities. We can’t think of a better way to spend President’s Day weekend; our entire US team is heading to Miami!

Watches & Wonders 2018

This is the first time Watches & Wonders has taken place on American soil as previous editions have taken place in Hong Kong. We see the purpose of this show as threefold – first, as a showcase for exhibiting brand’s novelties including the first US viewing of SIHH 2018 novelties – second, as an educational experience for collectors and enthusiasts – and lastly, as a catalyst to showcase the Miami Design District. This combination of building awareness for horology and Miami’s Design District is sure to attract the best collections, attendees, and provide exposure to some seriously great timepieces.

Exhibiting Brands

Throughout the weekend, there are two ways you can interact with your favorite brands. For brands with boutiques in the design district, you can easily pop in during their special Watches & Wonders hours to view and try on their novelties. For brands without a dedicated boutique, there will be pop-up stores setup throughout the design district.

One glance at the exhibiting brand list and you’re sure to find one or more of your favorite brands in attendance.

Brands with on-site boutiques:

A. Lange & Söhne, Audemars Piguet, Bulgari, Cartier, Hermès, Hublot, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Louis Vuitton, Panerai, Parmigiani Fleurier, Piaget, TAG Heuer, Vacheron Constantin, and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Brands exhibiting in pop-up stores:

Armin Strom, F.P. Journe, Ralph Lauren, Romain Gauthier, Romain Jerome, and Kari Voutilainen.

Watches & Wonders Events

Throughout the weekend, brands will be hosting events and cocktail receptions in their boutiques. For instance, TAG Heuer will present their “Museum in Motion,” which features novelties from the brand’s archives. Jaeger-LeCoultre will be hosting masterclasses and a slew of events showcasing their new Polaris collection. There are two book signings occurring, the first is Matt Hranek signing his “A Man and His Watch” book at Vacheron Constantin and second is Aaron Sigmond signing his new edition of DriveTime at TAG Heuer. Lastly, German favorite A. Lange & Söhne will showcase a wide selection of their chronographs. Possibly even the Triple Split!  For the full program of events, be sure to visit Watches & Wonders official program
