Summer Surprise: A Closer Look at Chopard’s Alpine Eagle 41 Beach Editions

Just in time for peak beach season, Chopard has introduced a pair of colorful Alpine Eagle 41s that prove that the brand doesn’t need diamonds to make us happy.

The new twin Alpine Eagle 41 Beach Editions are an unexpected treat in a variety of ways. First, Chopard has been experimenting with colorful dials in its L.U.C collection, so it’s fun to see the powerful pops of “Maritime Blue” and “Rock Jasmine” appear in the sporty yet elegant stylings of the Alpine Eagle.
 

Second, we are pleased that these hues are being used on a 41mm watch, instead of a smaller case size. The brand’s choice of case size confirms that color needn’t be relegated to smaller 33mm to 38 mm cases. If anything, the bright turquoise and pink tints, which are echoed in their matching rubber straps, are a bold but logical choice because…

Third, these Beach Editions serve as a sort of unifying thread that ties all of Chopard’s horological offerings together. The brand claims that these colors are meant to evoke the vibrant colors of the sea and mountains.
 

This is entirely in line with Chopard’s commitment to ethical and environmental sustainability – not only does the brand promote practices to reduce the industry’s environmental impact, but it also emphasizes the importance of these practices by highlighting our connection to Mother Earth. Hopefully, if we love Her enough, we won’t destroy Her.
 

The Chopard mission statement is about as celebrating the joy and the beauty in the world, the Beach Editions certainly sell a message that if we can still find things that bring a smile to our face, whether is the promise of a seaside holiday, the emotional response to a pink or blue hue or even the admiration for a finely crafted object, the world is worth protecting.

Aside from the new colorways, there’s not a lot of newness in these Beach Editions, but sometimes a little stability is a welcome companion to change.

With that in mind, both new Beach Edition 41s are, like most of the Alpine Eagle collection, crafted from Lucent Steel, Chopard’s exclusive alloy. The dials are formed from brass embossed with a sunburst pattern inspired by the iris of an eagle’s eye, which is what gave the collection its name.
 

As you would expect, the display features rhodium-plated applied hour markers and numerals with Super-LumiNova, as well as rhodium-plated baton-type hours and minutes hands, and a Super-LumiNova color-matched date disc.

Lastly, they are both powered by the Chopard 01.01-C self-winding, COSC-certified chronometer mechanical movement, reaffirming Chopard’s ongoing commitment to both technical and aesthetic excellence.
