Patek Philippe Twenty~4
The steel watches in Patek Philippe’s signature ladies’ collection, Twenty~4 Automatic, nicely balance elegant, feminine design with a slightly sporty aesthetic. The steel bracelet and round case decorated with 160 diamonds are meant to carry women through all 24 hours of their day, from taking care of their children to important business meetings and date nights.
Earlier this year, Patek Philippe released a stunning new olive-green dial with a sunburst decoration. It’s a new color for contemporary Patek Philippe watches and is sure to become a signature hue. Plus, the 36mm Twenty~4 Automatic (ref. 7300/1200A-011) has an open caseback so mom can admire the beautifully decorated caliber 324 S C.
Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 Turquoise
Everyone needs a classic Rolex Oyster Perpetual watch in their collection. Luckily, Rolex recently released five new colors — candy pink, turquoise, yellow, green, and coral — that add a bit of whimsy to the iconic timepiece. So this year, upgrade mom’s watch wardrobe with a vibrantly colored dial.
We love the 36mm Oyster Perpetual watch (ref. 126000) with a brilliant turquoise dial and 18K white gold hour markers. Released in late 2020, it features a new automatic in-house movement, the caliber 3230, which has a 70-hour power reserve. And if she prefers smaller watches, there’s also a 31mm version with the fun turquoise dial.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic Duetto
This year, the iconic Reverso watch celebrates its 90th anniversary. There is a host of special editions, including a wild four-dial high-horology masterpiece, but we still love the classic timepieces. And the Reverso Duetto in 18K pink gold (ref. 2662130) is an elegant choice.
The front dial is silvered gray with vertical satin-brushed and guilloché finishings, black transferred Arabic numerals, and blued bâton hands. At night, mom can flip it over to the reverse side to reveal a more glamorous look. The secondary dial has a rich, black dial with gold details, and a smattering of diamonds on the top and bottom adds extra sparkle. We love the Reverso Duetto on an 18K pink gold bracelet, but it also comes on a strap for a more casual look.
Oris Artelier Grande Lune Date Diamonds
A moonphase is one of the more poetic complications, usually reserved for dress watches. Good thing for mom that Oris has a large, beautifully decorated moonphase in its classic Artelier collection.
The moonphase takes center stage in the 36mm Artelier Grande Lune Date Diamonds watch. It showcases a brilliant white moon and a smattering of stars on a deep, blue background. The rest of the silvery-white dial has a woven guilloché pattern, and there is a date aperture at 6 o’clock. Moreover, seventy-two Top Wesselton diamonds encircle the 36mm dial, and its automatic movement has a 38-hour power reserve.
Cartier Tank
You can’t go wrong with a classic Cartier Tank watch — there’s a reason it’s been an icon since 1918. The silvered opaline dial, rectangular case shape, elegant Roman numerals, and iconic minutes track will always be in style.
