Montblanc Mark Maker

During a press conference at the Montblanc’s Geneva boutique, the brand announced a new partnership with star tennis player Stanislas Wawrinka, who becomes the Maison’s new Mark Maker. This “Friend of the brand” role is reserved for exceptional individuals whose hard work, determination, and passion have led them to success.

The Pursuit Of Being The Best

The international tennis champion is a three-time Grand Slam Winner, 16 Tournament Title Holder, and an Olympic Champion. “Stan Wawrinka is the epitome of what it means to overcome adversity and achieve greatness both on the court and off the court,” said Delphine Favier, Managing Director, Montblanc Switzerland. “He is determined in his pursuit of being the best he can be, but he is always driving by a higher purpose and the love of what he does. We are delighted to be partnering with him to share his journey and inspire others to achieve their own goals.”

Stan The Man

Thrilled to partner with Montblanc, Wawrinka shared, “Montblanc became part of my professional and personal life years ago as the products are real-life companions and I am delighted to be integrated into the Mark-Maker family. The brand’s continuous search for excellence and reliability matches my values and overall attitude. I’m trying to be the best player I can be and push myself to my limits thanks to my passion for tennis.”

Montblanc’s Smart Wireless Headphones

This partnership is being celebrated with a new luxury product line – Montblanc Smart Headphones – that are part of Montblanc’s “New Tech” category (Wawrinka remains with Audemars Piguet in the watch segment). These elegant over-the-ear headphones were made to incorporate the best in sound technology with Montblanc’s unmistakable design with the use of leather and sleek metal touches. There are three versions: black leather with chrome metal finishes, brown leather with gold-colored metal finishes, and light gray leather with polished metal finishes.

On The Tech Side

In terms of the sound, the new Montblanc smart headphones have active noise-canceling technology, excellent sound quality, and they include Google Assistant with voice-activated control and commands. They also come with a fabric pouch, USB-C charging cable, Audio Jack cable, and an airplane adaptor. The brand partnered with sound expert Alex Rosson who brought his acoustic mastery and audio engineering expertise to the table in the creation of these smart headphones.

“We set out to create headphones that would strike the ideal balance between advanced technology, sophisticated design, and comfort, because that’s what really matters to Montblanc travelers, whether they are aboard a long-haul flight, on a conference call at the airport, or simply trying to recharge while on the road,” said Nicolas Baretzki, Montblanc’s CEO.

Back On The Road

Wawrinka was delighted to receive his pair of Montblanc Smart Headphones from Baretzki during the press conference just before heading off to Acapulco for the ATP Tour. Quality headphones are part of any globetrotter's essential gear, and we are sure they will improve his life on the tennis circuit.

We just wonder what music he likes to listen to? Perhaps Montblanc should include a “Stan the Man” playlist too, for when Smart Headphone users need a boost from a Swiss champion.
