Photo Gallery: Westime Hosts A Grand Seiko Watchmaking Event
Last week, Japan landed in Beverly Hills at the iconic Rodeo Drive for a day dedicated to Japanese craftmanship with Grand Seiko.
Kon'nichiwa Westime Rodeo Drive! Where for a day, customers and selected guests discovered the art of Japanese Craftmanship and culture. At the bench, working live on Grand Seiko movements is Master Craftsman Shun Murayama, explaining the art behind every Grand Seiko and letting some of Westime's lucky customers try their hand at traditional Japanese watchmaking.
Japanese immersion
This event was the perfect occasion to learn more about Japanese culture and watchmaking. Guests were served traditional sushi and enjoyed a Japanese whiskey tasting. While some enjoyed the Japanese culinary delights, others were having their name written in traditional Japanese calligraphy thanks to esteemed Calligrapher Kuni Rhythm.
Grand Seiko also debuted their U.S. Special Editions which we detailed this summer HERE. This unique collection of four timepieces was inspired by Japan's seasons and Westime played the ideal host for this exhibition.
