Last night in New York City, Watchonista hosted Ferdinand Berthoud's first visit to the United States. On display were some extraordinary chronometers and esteemed collector guests.

Founded in 1753, but re-launched by Chopard in 2015, La Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud is enjoying a global renaissance thanks to some incredible timekeepers. At the heart of this success is Ferdinand Berthoud's FB 1 collections. Watchonista recently went hands-on with the FB 1L Lunar Watch (HERE), and the FB 1 Oeuvre d’Or (HERE).

To help the brand celebrate its US arrival, Watchonista hosted an intimate dinner for collectors and friends of the brand. What better way for collectors to discover a brand which prides itself on only producing 20 pieces per year than an iconic New York City steakhouse. We were happy to host at New York's Club A Steakhouse. The restaurant's wine cellar made for the perfect European style dining experience.

Vincent Lapaire, General Manager of Ferdinand Berthoud presented the brand's vision and history, while Jonathan Richard, the brand's Marketing Manager mingled with invited guests. It was our pleasure to host this very special brand, which is sure to find great success in the US market.

Between sips of delicious Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon, collectors viewed the entire Ferdinand Berthoud collection. This was an important day for the brand as they had just announced their arrival at New York City's Cellini Jewelers (read HERE).

Many thanks to Ferdinand Berthoud for entrusting Watchonista with this very special evening. If the dinner was any indication, collector interest in Ferdinand Berthoud is set to explode in the United States. Stay tuned!
