Photo Gallery: The Cars And Watches Of The 2019 Geneva International Motor Show
Watchonista's photo report of the world's largest motor show.
Every year, GIMS (Geneva International Motor Show) officially kicks off the motor show calendar. Taking place in Geneva's Palexpo (yes, the same place as SIHH) GIMS is always larger than life. The 2019 edition saw everything from supercars to actual race cars (F1 and Formula E at TAG Heuer). Most notably, Bugatti launched the La Voiture, a $12.5 million dollar one-off carbon sports car.
GIMS is also quickly becoming a launching platform for watch brands. TAG Heuer, Breitling, Chopard, and many more have used the occasion to showcase special auto-themed editions. Join our photo gallery to view the best cars and watches of GIMS.
TAG Heuer at GIMS 2019
For almost a century, TAG Heuer has enjoyed a close relationship with the worlds of auto and motorsports. From their partnership with Aston Martin to their principal sponsorship of Red Bull's F1 team, TAG Heuer lives and breathes autos. For GIMS 2019, TAG Heuer kicked off the 50th anniversary of Monaco with a gorgeous Ford GT Gulf centerstage. On top of this, TAG Heuer had on display a selection of vintage pieces from last year's Museum in Motion.
Breitling
Breitling is another name synonymous with motorsport. As one of the pioneers of the chronograph, Breitling certainly has a story to tell. The brand's partnership with Bentley was also on display with CEO Georges Kern introducing the Breitling Premier Bentley Centenary Limited Edition. This wood dialed Premier Chronograph was one of the most talked about pieces of GIMS 2019. In addition, Breitling's heritage was on display with a stunning collection of vintage chronographs.
