It’s auto show time! The New York Auto Show is upon us, and 2019 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for the seminal show. To celebrate, Watches of Switzerland is bringing together an impressive array of horsepower at their Hudson Yards location. Here’s an overview of what car and watch enthusiasts can expect to see throughout Auto Show week (April 19-29).

TAG Heuer

2019 marks 50 years of the iconic TAG Heuer Monaco. This iconic chronograph has adorned the wrists of Steve McQueen to Chris Hemsworth. Over its five-decade existence, TAG Heuer's Monaco has taken many forms, but its most impressive would have to be the traditional Monaco model. At Watches of Switzerland, visitors can experience the Monaco Gulf Special Edition. This piece features the famous blue and orange Gulf racing livery on the dial and is powered by the mighty Calibre 11 chronograph movement. At $5,900, it's an extraordinary opportunity to own a piece that pays tribute to TAG Heuer's rich racing history while reliably performing for decades to come.

Another exceptional chronograph on display at Hudson Yards is the TAG Heuer Monza. Created in 1976 to celebrate F1 legend Niki Lauda's first world championship with Ferrari. While TAG Heuer is no longer the official timekeeper for the Scuderia, the legend of Monza lives on with this all-black HEUER chrono. This reissue has modern touches such as SuperLuminova markers and robust grade 5 titanium case. Priced at $5,450, the TAG Heuer 40th Anniversary Monza looks as at home on your wrist as it does taking five Gs at Monza's famous Parabolica.

Here's a fun fact, did you know that TAG Heuer was at one-time official engine supplier to Red Bull Racing's F1 team? It’s true! For years, Red Bull used TAG Heuer branded Renault engines. TAG Heuer’s close allegiance with the world of racing, especially IndyCar and F1 (read HERE) continues to this day. This Formula 1 Aston Martin Quartz Chronograph is the most accessibly priced automotive-inspired watch on display at Watches of Switzerland. At $1,650, it's a chance to strap on the watch version of Red Bull's Aston Martin F1 car.

Grand Seiko x Nissan

Newly independent Grand Seiko is taking New York Auto Week by storm with their partnership with Nissan. At a splashy nineties themed launch party, the Japanese brand unveiled a special Spring Drive chronograph made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Nissan GT-R, particularly this year’s Skyline 2000 GT-R.

Sized at 46.4mm and encased in high-intensity titanium inner case and ceramic outer case, this new model represents the very best in Japanese craftsmanship. Nissan's storied history in sports car racing is on full display via the bright silvery white dial and flows through the white/blue racing stripe strap. A brilliant partnership between the two Japanese giants. Limited to 200 pieces and priced at $21,000. And now on display at Watches of Switzerland Hudson Yards!

Hublot x Ferrari

It wouldn’t be a party without a gaggle of Prancing Horses! Hublot’s partnership with Ferrari is stronger than ever (read HERE) and Watches of Switzerland will have a bevy of Hublot x Ferrari timepieces on display. While not all of Hublot's 2019 Ferrari pieces will be shown, a healthy number of Big Bang references and the eponymous MP-05 LaFerrari will be on hand. Hublot will be the centerpiece of Watches of Switzerland's Hudson Yards entrance.

Visitors will be able to experience a Ferrari F1 steering wheel console, view immersive graphics, and experience the wide variety of Hublot x Ferrari pieces. From the $345,000 MP-05 LaFerrari to a Big Bang designed in collaboration with Scuderia Ferrari, there will be plenty on offer at Watches of Switzerland Hudson Yards.

Breitling x Bentley

Never one to back down from a challenge, Georges Kern and his team at Breitling are hard at work bringing back the very best from Breitling. One of the brand’s most successful partnerships has been its relationship with Bentley. The luxury car maker from Britain is making waves at the auto show with their new Continental GT and Bentayga V8. Back at Hudson Yards, the brand is exhibiting their Premier B01 Chronograph in Bentley British Racing Green.

Sized at 42mm and featuring a warm dark green motif throughout, this Premier B01 chronograph is sure to draw attention wherever it goes. If Bentley is all about the details, then Breitling has found a way to display the very best of both brands. Powered by Breitling’s in-house Caliber 01 chronograph movement, this automatic watch features a power reserve of 70+ hours. Priced at $8,500, and now on display at Watches of Switzerland Hudson Yards!

Bremont x Jaguar

If that weren’t enough, how about two British brands colliding on an automotive project? That's precisely what the folks at Bremont and Jaguar have done. A British icon (Jaguar) meets the always endeavoring English brothers of Bremont. The result is the astounding Bremont MKII and MKIII.

These sporty chronometers draw inspiration from the dials and dashboards of Jaguars iconic E-Type. Available as a three hand with a date or a chronograph, the MKII and MKIII offer British inspired design aesthetics with a pretty remarkable price tag. The MKII chronograph tips the scales at $6,795 and the MKIII three-hander comes in at $4,795. So, head on over to Hudson Yards to say “Ello!”

L’Epee

Finally, we come to a bit of horological ephemera. The L’Epee Time Fast D8 is a limited-edition desk clock which is sure to excite auto and watch enthusiasts. This fully functional clock can be driven (by hand) across your desk, or any surface and the wheels actually add function. Driving in reverse will wind the eight-day power reserve.

Time is displayed via the hour and minute wheels positioned at the midway point of the car. The piece is available is a wide variety of color and decal combinations. L'Epee will only be producing 100 of these units and pricing is on request. So, give it a spin at Watches of Switzerland Hudson Yards!
